The Justin Siena junior varsity boys lacrosse team got three goals and three assists from Chris Darrin in a 16-4 rout of visiting San Rafael at Dodd Stadium on Friday night.
Dexter Norup and Peter McElearney also had three goals apiece for the Braves, and Brian Pires had two.
Daniel Wong, Kevin Egan, Ivan Colin, Joey Welsh and Gabe Pascalli each scored once, and Henry Mattei added an assist. They were the first goals for first-year players Pascalli and Welsh.
The Braves outshot the Bulldogs, 52-11.
“It was great to see our younger players step up this game,” Justin-Siena coach Mike Digiulio said, adding that sophomore Wong and freshman Mattei had great games.
After San Rafael tied it 2-2 in the early going, Justin-Siena picked up its intensity and shot to an 8-3 halftime lead.

“We got off to a slow start,” Digiulio said. “Once it was tied at 2-2, something clicked and the team took off running. Our midfield played great defense. We gave them few scoring opportunities and capitalized on their mistakes.”
The Braves visit Tamalpais-Mill Valley at 2 p.m. today.
