Nika Darrin, Amy Gonser, Christina Franzino, and Megan DeValle led the Braves (10-0) to another win Thursday, over the hosts at San Francisco’s Balboa Park.
Darrin had four goals and one assist, Gonser had three goals and one assist, Franzino had three goals, and DeValle had two goals and one assist. Scoring one goal each for the Braves were Kendyl Fleury and Adrien Raffin.
Justin-Siena coach Aline Magee said the defensive standouts were Teal Geyer, Andrea Mallari, Fleury and goalie Christina Byrne, who finished with four saves.
“It was cold and windy, but that didn't stop the girls from giving it their all tonight,” Magee said. “The Lick-Wilmerding team has some very talented players and several with impressive speed, but every one of our players really showed their defensive abilities fighting for the ball and causing turnovers. Our defense really stood strong protecting our goalie.
