County swimmers to watch: Dominic Garofalo

Glance: Dominic Garofalo of St. Joseph Academy had the best effort of any county athlete at last week’s District 2-A meet. He finished sixth in the 500-yard freestyle in 5 minutes, 25.38 seconds. He joined teammates John Miller, George Laibl and Hunter Joss to finish eighth in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:46.79, just missing a spot in today’s regional.
