Creekside looks to keep making history in volleyball playoffs

Road here: Creekside d. Belleview 3-2; Eastside d. Bartram Trail 3-0.

Winner gets: The Nature Coast Technical-Zephyrhills winner in the regional final on Saturday. Creekside would host Nature Coast, but travel to face Zephyrhills.

Glance: The Knights probably shouldn't have gone to five games in their opener, but left just enough room for the Rattlers to keep extending the match. If there's room for improvement for the Knights, it's their ability to close a game down strong. As the playoffs wear on, Creekside must play like it did during its three wins over Belleview, not its two losses, where the Knights were within one and two points late, only to fade. Creekside's usual suspects - MB Erika Hinel (Embry-Riddle) and Caley Crawford (Florida State College at Jacksonville) - were powerful at the net throughout. And sophomore Allison Davanzo played extremely well, too. The Knights will need that depth to keep playing beyond tonight.
