Local: Creekside girls move on in soccer

Top-seeded Creekside moved on at the District 4-3A tournament with a 6-0 win over Nease. Hannah Tidwell and Bre Saunders each scored twice. Michelle Holzmer and Kirra Encinas netted one apiece.

The Knights will face Matanzas, who beat Clay 3-1, on Wednesday.

Boys basketball

Oscar Williams poured in 24 points to carry the St. Joseph boys basketball team to a 62-52 win over Espirit de Crops on Monday.

Jacob Gaetanos added 16 points, 15 rebounds and six blocks for the Flashes (10-8), who have now won 10 of their last 12 games. Reese Davis also chipped in with 12 points and 10 assists.
