Rhodes Men Post Strong Performance in Losing Effort to Sewanee

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Rhodes College men's swimming & diving team traveled to Sewanee, Tenn. Saturday for a Southern Athletic Association showdown with longtime rival Sewanee.  After a week of training in Cocoa Beach, Fla., the men posted several strong performances in route to a 187-84 defeat against Sewanee, turning in their most complete dual meet performance of the year. 
 
The Lynx were led in their losing effort by Max Miller.  The freshman from Calabasas, Calif. touched first in the 1000 and 500 freestyles, with times of 10:54.62 and 5:19.13 respectively.  The victories were the first two of Miller's young career and yet another highpoint in his stellar freshman season.  Sophomore Bakari Williams touched second to Miller in the 500 in a time of 5:20.87 to notch the 1-2 finish for the Lynx.
 
Other standout performances included Spencer Regelson's second place finish in the 200 free with a time of 1:55.45, Campbell Delahoyde swam a time of 1:07.59 for a second place finish in the 100 breast, and Chad Bohls notched two second place finishes in the 50 and 100 freestyles in times of 24.08 and 52.70.
 
The Lynx return to action Saturday, Jan. 24 when they travel to Arkadelphia, Ark. to swim Henderson State University at 1 p.m.
