Northeast Florida players selected for FACA All-Star Classic in soccer

More than a dozen Jacksonville-area players earned selection to the annual Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Classic matches in boys and girls soccer, set for Friday through Sunday in Lakeland.

Girls selected for the FACA squad were Morgan Eubanks, Atlantic Coast; Izzy Kimberly, Bolles; Gianni Badon, Creekside; Hannah Johnson, Oakleaf; Ella Shapiro, Ponte Vedra; Paige Crews and Mia Sadler (both St. Johns Country Day). Atlantic Coast's Kenny Mukasa will serve as a North coach.

Area boys selected were Sean Meisler, Luke O'Keefe and Andrew Pia (all from Bishop Kenny), and Francesco Brena, Mikie Malota and David Manaute (all from Menendez).

In the girls contest, the North faces the South at 7 p.m. Friday and the East at 9 a.m. Saturday, before the North boys team plays the South at 7 p.m. Saturday and the East at 9 a.m. Sunday. All games are at Bryant Stadium.
