Island Coast’s Rodriguez and Petrovich team up for no-hitter

Island Coast 7, Cape Coral 0: Kevin Rodriguez and Noah Petrovich combined on a no-hitter as the Gators (11-2) blanked the Seahawks (5-8). Rodriguez struck out 12 in six innings. AJ Finco homered and drove in four Island Coast runs. Demetrius Cants, Aiden Cecil and Rodriguez had an RBI each.
Mariner 4, North Fort Myers 1: The Tritons (4-7) scored all four runs in the top of the sixth to erase a 1-0 Red Knights (6-6) lead. Nick Mackey doubled with the bases loaded to drive in three Mariner runs, and Matthew Morales also had an RBI. William Wilson earned the win in relief. Logan Wilson gave North a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI double.
Cypress Lake 15, Ida Baker 0 (4 innings): The Bulldogs (3-11) were no-hit over the game’s four innings.
Softball
North Fort Myers 16, Mariner 0 (3 innings): Desirae Devine had two hits including a triple, drove in three runs and scored twice for the Red Knights (8-2). Kendall Wylie also tripled and had three RBI, Kirsten Gnagey had two triples, two RBI and three runs scored and Alexis Morris had two RBI. Kelli-Ann Suthard had a hit for the Tritons (3-5). Wylie struck out six in three innings, allowing only one baserunner.
Cape Coral 12, Island Coast 0 (4 innings): Rachel Manes and Yarily Pacheco had three RBI each, Phaedra Jelenowski and Avery Mytnik drove in two runs apiece and three Seahawks (3-6) pitchers held the Gators (1-5) to one hit over four innings.
Cypress Lake 11, Ida Baker 4: Makayla Nieves had a pair of hits and drove in two Bulldogs (7-3) runs. Dominique Parker also had an RBI.
