Treasure Coast athletes reach the podium at 4A state track

Saturday marked the final day at the FHSAA State Track and Field Championship at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida and runners and throwers in Class 4A and 2A from the Treasure Coast finished their seasons.

In 4A, Martin County’s 4x100 relay team of senior Benjamin Lamothe, juniors Joesph Coluter and Riley Pelletier along with sophomore Denzel Alexander posted a sixth place finish for the Tigers. Lamothe also finished seventh in the 4A long jump and was 14th in the 4A triple jump for the Tigers.

Fellow senior Ryan Ziskinder finished eighth in the 800 meter run and Alexander finished 12th in the 100 meter dash for Martin County.

Ziskinder, along with his brother and classmate Adam Ziskinder and juniors Anthony Matthew and Andrew Raffenberg finished 10th in the 4x800 relay for the Tigers.

Fort Pierce Central senior Brianna Clayton finished seventh in the 200 meter dash, was 10th in the 4A 100 meter dash and along with seniors Auhmya Wilder and Kiana Vereen and sophomore Richelle Williams grabbed an eighth place finish in the 4x400 relay for the Cobras.

Freshman Nikayia Wilder finished 16th in the 4A discus for Fort Pierce Central.

Vero Beach senior Williame Ylance finished ninth in the 110 hurdles and junior Devin Willis finished tied for 13th in the 4A long jump and the 4x400 relay team of seniors Wendell Bethel, Maxfield Patrick and Ladarian Williams along with freshman Tromance Smith took 14th place for Vero.

Treasure Coast senior Keegan Davis finished 15th in the 4A discus for the Titans.

Lincoln Park Academy junior Amber Clark finished 15th in the 2A long jump and along with sophomore Chloe Wright and freshmen Alexandra Watson and Melissa Gale finished 12th in the 4x400 relay for the Greyhounds.

In the para-athletic division, junior Edwin Forgue-Luders won the 800 meter and finished third in the 200 meter dash for Lincoln Park.
