Brevard schools looking for high school, middle school coaches

For anyone who has ever wanted to coach high school or middle school sports, this may be the time in Brevard County.

Six schools are seeking coaches for the spots listed below, for fall, winter and spring sports of all kinds. There are at least 40 positions.

Many coaching jobs are listed on the Brevard Schools web site Beacon, and the following schools are looking for these specific coaches. Contact each athletic director for more information.

Edgewood Jr./Sr. High has coaching opportunities in girls basketball, boys and girls lacrosse, boys soccer and girls volleyball. Contact athletic director Jeff Worcester at worcester.jeff@brevardschools.org.

Viera has openings for coaches in wrestling and bowling. Contact athletic director Maggie Davis at davis.margaret@brevardschools.org.

Astronaut invites applications for head wrestling coach and junior varsity coaches for boys basketball, girls soccer and cheer. Contact athletic director Cheryl Shivel at shivel.cheryl@brevardschools.org.

West Shore Jr./Sr. High seeks boys and girls assistant lacrosse coaches. It also needs varsity assistant, JV and middle school coaches for boys basketball. Contact athletic director Tony Riopelle at riopelle.tony@brevardschools.org.

Space Coast Jr./Sr. High needs junior varsity coaches for baseball and girls basketball, as well as JV and freshman volleyball coaches. The school needs middle school coaches for both boys and girls basketball. Contact athletic director Eusebio Solis via solis.eusebio@brevardschools.org.

Calvary Chapel Academy of West Melbourne, which has merged with Covenant Christian, seeks several coaches: football, swimming, golf soccer, boys basketball, tennis, girls junior varsity basketball and middle school volleyball.
