WARRENSBURG - Katie O'Riley scored two goals to lead the Cardinals through a wet field and into the Warrensburg Regional finals with a 3-1 win over the Bulldogs.
O'Riley scored the opening goal for Warrensburg-Latham. Kady Mahaffey scored the next goal in the first half to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead.
Isabella Possignoll scored for St. Teresa just before halftime to cut the deficit to 2-1. Then in the second half, with help from a Mahaffey assist, O'Riley scored to give Warrensburg-Latham an insurance goal.
Goalie Maggie Nashland saved five shots to preserve the victory for the Cardinals. St. Teresa's Maranda Archer made five saves as well in a losing effort.
"I think we played kind of sloppy at times; both teams played sloppy," Warrensburg-Latham coach Kevin Emery said. "The wet grass made the ball move differently, so we were playing on thin ice, so to speak. We were able to finish when we had the opportunities. St. Teresa had some opportunities, but just couldn't put the ball in the net."
