FEATS OF THE WEEK: Concord, Calif., De La Salle finishes ranked No. 1 in the final National Prep Poll of the season for the third time. The Spartans, coached by Bob Ladouceur, won their ninth consecutive North Coast Section Class 4A title and ran their national-record winning streak to 113 games. De La Salle was No. 1 in the preseason and opened the season with a 30-24 win over No. 23 Clovis. Calif., Buchanan. All-American RB/LB Kevin Simon led the way on both sides of the ball with 1,209 yards rushing and 14 TD's on offense, 113 tackles and four forced fumbles on defense . . .
