FEATS OF THE WEEK: Second-ranked Lilburn, Parkview continued its unprecedented run of success in Georgia high school football by rolling to a 28-7 win over Snellville, Brookwood in the Class AAAAA state championship. The win was the Panthers' 45th straight, a state record, and their third straight state title and fourth title since 1997. All-time national victory king Valdosta (1960-62) was the last team to win three consecutive big-school championships in Georgia . . . For the third straight year, and fifth time since 1994, Concord, Calif., De La Salle is the National Prep Poll champion. The Bob Ladouceur-coached Spartans' national-record winning streak reached 138 games this season playing a schedule that included regionally ranked Honolulu, St. Louis and previously top-5-ranked Long Beach, Poly. De La Salle also won its 11th consecutive NCS Class 4A title and 29th straight postseason contest in 2002 and extended its run as the nation's No. 1-ranked team to 45 straight weeks . . .
