x-all four losses from forfeits
xx-includes forfeit win over No. 2 St. Edward

FEATS OF THE WEEK: On the same night the movie "Friday Night Lights" opened to a nationwide audience, the 2004 edition of the Odessa, Texas, Permian Panthers were defeated by district nemesis, Midland, 42-34. Texas prep football will get more prime national attention this week with FOX Sports Net planning to televise Permian's match-up with Midland Lee and ESPN2 scheduled to show No. 1 Southlake Carroll's showdown with No. 19 Denton Ryan . . . Tyrell Sutton of Akron, Ohio, Hoban rushed for 505 yards and eight touchdowns in a 61-28 rout of Youngstown, Ursuline. The Northwestern-bound senior's night tied the state-record for TDs and was third-best ever for rushing yards in a game . . . No. 8 Lakewood, Ohio, St. Edward remained ranked despite forfeiting four of its first five wins of the season. The ruling by the Ohio state association was made because school officials delayed submitting paperwork on a sophomore transfer student. St. Edward is appealing because the player in question, who is now eligible, played only sparingly in the games the Eagles were forced to forfeit. If the appeal is denied, St. Edward probably must win its last three games to hold onto any playoff hopes.
