FEATS OF THE WEEK: For the sixth consecutive season, the top-ranked team in the preseason National Prep Poll is from California. But for the first time, the team is Mission Viejo, not six-time Prep Poll champion Concord, De La Salle. Coach Bob Johnson's Diablos, who defeated De La Salle a season ago (17-14), get the nod at No. 1 with their 55-1 record and three CIF-Southern Section Division II titles over the last four seasons. Mission Viejo will feature blue chip recruits in tight end Konrad Reuland (729 receiving yards) and bruising 6-2, 240-pound running back Chane Moline (1,840 rushing yards, 40 touchdowns). The Orange County power has a 2005 schedule that includes a trip to Seattle to face Issaquah (Wash.) and home battles with perennial powers De La Salle and Santa Ana, Mater Dei . . .
