FEATS OF THE WEEK: Regionally ranked Brockton, Mass., became the 11th prep program to win 700 games. The milestone came with the Boxers' 21-14 defeat of Westwood, Xaverian Brothers. According to the 2005 National High School Sports Record Book, six other teams are within 10 wins of matching the feat: New Britain, Conn. (699 wins), Muskegon, Mich. (699), Pine Bluff, Ark. (697), Berwick, Pa. (696), East St. Louis, Ill. (694), and Lawton, Okla. (691). Valdosta, Ga., is the all-time leader with 824 wins . . . The nation's second-longest current winning streak ended when Raynham, Mass., Bridgewater-Raynham defeated Acton, Acton-Boxboro, 28-7. The Colonials had won 52 straight games dating back to the 2001 season . . . More than 38,000 fans watched regionally ranked Louisville, Ky., St. Xavier crush archrival Trinity, 48-16, at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium . . . Donzel Goldsmith scored eight touchdowns to spark Westminster, S.C., West Oak's 59-24 rout of Greer, Blue Ridge. The senior running back/defensive back scored touchdowns rushing, receiving, passing and on an interception and a fumble return.
