URBANDALE, Iowa -- In six of the last 12 weeks, none of the Top 25 teams in the National Prep Football Poll were beaten. That includes this past weekend, when all 25 nationally ranked squads won their games by at least 22 points.
After that kind of dominance, it's not surprising to see zero changes in which teams comprise this week's national poll. There were a few position shifts, however, including Texas juggernaut Katy's three-spot jump up to No. 4 after its 56-3 annihilation of previously unbeaten district rival Cinco Ranch (Katy) on Saturday. The Tigers, who are always a major factor in the postseason, should now be considered a co-favorite with national No. 1 Trinity (Euless, Texas) for the 5A/Division I state title.
The National Prep Football Poll is compiled by high school sports journalist Jamie DeMoney with input from sportswriters, experts, and coaches. The national Top 25 and regional Top 10's follow with won-loss records:

Show Low, Ariz., quarterback Rathen Ricedorff threw three touchdown passes in a 47-13 rout of Mohave Valley, River Valley, bringing his state-record career total to 99. ... The Kansas City Star reported Blue Springs senior Darrian Miller became the all-time rushing leader in Missouri's largest classification. Miller (Kansas) ran for 188 yards in a 49-28 win over Peculiar, Raymore-Peculiar in the Class 6 playoffs opening round. He has 6,427 yards for his career. ...... Chicago, Mount Carmel advanced past the second round of the Illinois playoffs for the 22nd time in 25 seasons with a 21-14 overtime victory against Naperville, Neuqua Valley. According to the San Angelo Standard-Times, the Texas 6-man scoring mark was broken when Paint Rock outgunned Novice, 112-109.
