National Prep Football Poll - Week 7

URBANDALE, Iowa -- After a week when 69 of the 70 teams ranked in the National Prep Poll were victorious, there were almost changes in the National Prep Football Poll.

For the first time in recent memory, every team in the Top 25 has the same ranking as the week before. At the top, defending Texas 5A/I champion Trinity (Euless) is No. 1 for the seventh straight week. The Trojans have steamrolled through the first half of their regular-season schedule, winning by an average margin of 45 points.

Mississippi juggernaut South Panola (Batesville) is the No. 2-ranked team for the fourth consecutive week. The Tigers, who have tasted defeat only three times the past nine seasons, have matched Trinity's dominance, winning all five games this year by at least 30 points.

The National Prep Football Poll is compiled by high school sports journalist Jamie DeMoney with input from sportswriters, experts, and coaches. The national Top 25 and regional Top 10's follow with won-loss records:

FEATS OF THE WEEK: Defending Prep Poll champion Ramsey, N.J., Don Bosco won its 13th game against an out-of-state opponent since 2005. The Ironmen crushed two-time Prep Poll titlist Cleveland, St. Ignatius, 33-6, in Steubenville, Ohio, a game televised nationally by FOX Sports Net. Senior Paul Canevari rushed for 257 yards and two touchdowns to lead Don Bosco, which has won 26 straight. ... In a game broadcast by CBS College Sports, No. 13 Concord, Calif., De La Salle scored 21 unanswered points in a 28-14 defeat of regionally ranked Las Vegas, Gorman. It was Gorman's second loss to a Top-25 opponent this year. ... In a No. 1-versus-No. 2 battle in the Boston area, regionally ranked Westwood, Mass., Xaverian edged Brockton, 23-20, in double-overtime. ... Traditional powers Massillon, Ohio, Washington and Muskegon, Mich., picked up milestone victories. Washington became the first team in Ohio with 800 wins when it blew out Akron, Firestone, 42-10. Meanwhile, Muskegon reached 750 victories with a 59-14 rout of Kentwood, East Kentwood. ... Junior Mark Jenkins gained 298 yards and ran for eight touchdowns to lead Elk Grove, Calif., Pleasant Grove over Roseville, 55-35. ... Junior Maty Mauk threw seven touchdown passes for the third time in his high school career as Kenton, Ohio, clobbered Elida, 70-21.
