FEATS OF THE WEEK: Boston College recruit Ryan Anderson was dominant in No. 4 Long Beach, Calif., Poly's 68-52 section final win over regionally ranked Corona, Centennial. The 6-foot-8 senior scored 18 points and grabbed 21 rebounds. ... McDonald's All-American Austin Rivers (Duke) had 25 points to lead No. 16 Winter Park, Fla., past Orlando, Dr. Phillips, 52-44, for its second straight 6A state title. In the 5A championship, Florida football recruit Jacoby Brissett had 19 points and 12 rebounds to lift No. 17 Palm Beach Gardens, Dwyer over Lake Wales, 72-57. ... Arkansas-committed guard B.J. Young outdueled McDonald's All-American Bradley Beal (Florida) in the Missouri Class 5 quarterfinals. Young scored 27 of his 32 points in the second half as No. 24 Florissant, Mo., McCluer North edged Beal (30 points) and then-unbeaten and No. 9-ranked St. Louis, Chaminade, 57-56. ... Mesa, Ariz., guard Jahii Carson scored 58 points, but the Arizona St. recruit's explosive performance came in his team's 96-82 loss to Phoenix, Brophy in the 5A/I state semifinals. ... According to MyCentralNewJersey.com, Kevin Ferguson (uncommitted) from Berkeley Heights, N.J., Governor Livingston, posted a triple-double in his team's 68-57 playoff win over North Plainfield. Ferguson, a 6-foot-9 senior, had 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 blocked shots.
