FEATS OF THE WEEK: In Fort Myers, Fla., No. 2 Elizabeth, N.J., St. Patrick claimed its first City of Palms Classic title with a 69-67 triumph over No. 6 Alpharetta, Ga., Milton. Senior guard Jarrel Lane (a Maryland-Baltimore County commit) sank a game-winning 3-pointer just before the horn sounded in the championship game. Tournament MVP Michael Gilchrist (Kentucky) had a game-high 25 points while Julian Royal (Georgia Tech) paced Milton with 20. ... In the City of Palms third-place game, No. 18 Santa Ana, Calif., Mater Dei was an 84-66 winner over No. 22 Winter Park, Fla. The Monarchs got 28 points from junior guard Katin Reinhardt, a total matched by Winter Park standout Austin Rivers (Duke). Eleven of the 16 teams that competed in the City of Palms Classic have been nationally or regionally ranked this season. ... Top-ranked Mouth of Wilson, Va., Oak Hill won the Iolani Classic in Honolulu for the second time in three seasons. The Warriors beat Montverde, Fla., Montverde Academy, 58-44, in the championship game. Quinn Cook (Duke) had a game-high 22 points and Oak Hill coach Steve Smith earned his 802nd win. ... No. 21 Kalamazoo, Mich., Central entered the national poll after slipping past regionally ranked Detroit, Southeastern, 59-56. Central guard T.J. Buchanan (Rhode Island) scored a game-high 20 points.
