FEATS OF THE WEEK: Second-ranked Henderson, Nev., Findlay, which is unbeaten since late December, got a triple-double from senior forward Winston Shepard in an 111-75 blowout of Dallas, ABCD Prep. Shepard, who has committed to San Diego St., had 19 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists. ... No. 3 Jersey City, N.J., St. Anthony snapped regionally ranked Brooklyn, Jefferson’s 10-game winning streak with a 71-60 triumph in a game played at Lincoln High School in Brooklyn. Kyle Anderson (UCLA) paced St. Anthony with 13 points. ... No. 4 Chicago, Simeon topped regionally ranked Curie, 53-49, to capture the Chicago Public League tournament title at Chicago State University on Friday. Junior standout Jabari Parker had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Wolverines, who hadn’t won a Public League championship since 2007. (When they were led by current Chicago Bulls all-star Derrick Rose.) One day later, Parker exploded with 23 points and 14 rebounds in Simeon’s 59-51 win over De La Salle in the City-Suburban Shootout in Hillside, Ill. ... Senior guard Omar Calhoun (UConn) became the all-time scoring leading scorer at Middle Village, N.Y., Christ the King. The senior guard now has 1,708 points after totaling 32 in his team’s 76-69 win over Goshen, Burke Catholic. Calhoun surpassed former NBA player and current Christ the King assistant coach Khalid Reeves. ... Gary Ernst now has the most wins for a coach in Arizona history with 775. Ernst got the record when Mesa, Mountain View beat Tucson, Rincon, 66-50, in a first-round Division I playoff game.
