After the teams traded goals to make the score 2-2 after the opening five minutes, Somerville went on a four-goal run.

Somerville (3-1, 3-1) notched the first four goals after halftime, capped by a score from Kyanna Pastore at the 17-minute mark, to bury any notion of a Phillipsburg comeback.

-- the trio who accounted for all of Phillipsburg's points -- found the back of the cage in the closing moments.

made 12 saves for the Stateliners (3-2, 3-2) against a Somerville attack that controlled possession for most of the game.

Peterson finished with three goals and three assists for Somerville. Dakota Pastore added four goals and Kyanna Pastore had three.

Nunes contributed two goals and three assists. Razzano had three goals and Zgoda, who unluckily had a number of shots whiz off the post, finished with a pair of scores.
