MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Rhodes men's lacrosse team earned the first offensive Player of the Week of the Southern Athletic Association in 2015 in
Ryan Fennelly.
Fennelly made a splash in the first contests of his collegiate career. The Montclair, N.J. native netted a Rhodes record eight goals, including the game winning score in the Lynx season opening 16-14 win against Southwestern University. Fennelly also dished out three assists, picked up two ground balls, and one caused turnover in the win. In the Lynx 14-8 miss against Carthage, Fennelly added another goal, two more assists and three ground ball pick-ups. On the week, the first-year had 14 points, averaged 4.5 goals per game, and 2.5 assists a contest.
Rhodes will be back in action on Feb. 21 when they host DePauw University.
