The Atlantic 10 champions return every player who started last season, including Makennah White, a junior forward who started the first 10 games of 2021-22 and Angelique Ngalakulondi, who started in her place the other 23. UMass also has a newcomer from across the border: Piath Gabriel, a 6-foot-5 junior forward who transferred from UConn.

UMass will be both another challenge for the Lady Vols and a good opportunity to reset and get a solid win under their belts before facing No. 11 Indiana on Monday at home.
