Tennessee softball's Karen Weekly became the second coach in school history to reach 1,000 career wins.

The Lady Vols improved their record to 11-1 on the season with a five-game sweep in the USF Tournament in Tampa, Florida, over the weekend. Their fourth victory in that tournament was Weekly's 1,000th of her career.

Former Lady Vols basketball coach Pat Summitt (1,098 wins) is the only other UT coach to reach 1,000 victories in head-to-head team sports.

Weekly's record at UT is now 1,001-319-2 in 22 seasons with the Lady Vols, including 20 as co-head coach with her husband Ralph Weekly. In her career, Karen Weekly has 1,224 wins in 27 seasons, including five at Chattanooga.
