MACON, Ga. (WCYB) — ETSU's Softball team was going for the series win on the road at Mercer today and with standout days from Riley Nayadley and Sara Muir, the Bucs finished the job.
Nayadley, who put up career numbers, accounted for all five of the Bucs runs today with 5 RBI's in the teams' 5-0 win over Mercer.
Nayadley went 2-for-3 with a three-run homerun. Brylee Mesusan and Cameron Young both also added two hits a piece.
On the mound, it was Sara Muir shining with six complete innings of work only allowing one hit.
The win handed ETSU their first SoCon series win since last May. That series win also came against Mercer.
ETSU is now 9-26 overall and 3-9 in conference play.
Up next for the Bucs is another road trip, this time to Tennessee Tech on Wednesday night.
