It was a Sunday rubber match in Indiana this afternoon as ETSU took the field against Purdue.

The Bucs were looking to bounce back from a run rule loss on Saturday.

After a quick first inning, the Bucs faltered in the second giving up a two run blast to give Purdue the lead through two frames.

The fourth is where ETSU caught stride, with Noah Gent getting things started with a one out single. That would be followed up by four consecutive singles with Green, Webb, Jacklin, and King getting in on the action.

The top of the lineup followed it up with three back to back walks to score three more. The inning was capped by a Gent single that knocked in two more to give ETSU the 7-2 lead.

An RBI-double from Nick Iannantone added a run in the fifth. The Bucs kept it rolling into the sixth with a Cody Miller homerun and a bases clearing double from Ashton King.

With the 12-2 lead in the seventh, Michael Harpster closed the door on the game with a strikeout, that was his eighth of the day pitching a complete game with the only blemish being the two-run shot in the second.

ETSU picks up the series win ahead of their road trip to Boone to take on Appalachian State on Tuesday.
