Station Camp boys, Hunter girls win Sumner County Conference tournament titles

Station Camp Middle’s boys and Hunter’s girls claimed Sumner County Conference tournament titles on Thursday evening at Rucker-Stewart Middle School.

The Bison defeated Knox Doss 54-40 as Chase Burns scored 20 points and Tim Lark added 12.

Burns made six of Station Camp’s seven 3-pointers.

Other Station Camp scorers included Samuel Bailey (nine points), Colin Smith (four), Kilon Williams (four), Dominic Del Fratte (three) and Ray Davis (two).

Hunter Middle's Hailey Burroughs helped lead the Lady Bucs to a Sumner County Conference Tournament title on Thursday.

Kaleb Powell led Knox Doss with 16 points. Other Mustang scorers included Jaden Lyles (seven), Jarrett Lucombe (seven), Maddox Waugh (four), Xaviere Jones (three) and Zac Rush (two).

>> The Lady Buccaneers had 12 points from Hailey Burroughs and 10 from Keonna Chumbley in defeating Station Camp 37-22.

Leanna Pearson added seven points, Laci Walmer finished with four, and Lisa Lanas and Emily McDowell each finished with two points.

Macy Thomas led Station Camp with 13 points, while Marisa Wirtz scored five, and Macauley Bailey and Taija Carey each added two points.
