The cross country teams of Franklin County High School, South Middle School and Winchester Christian Academy competed in the John Freeman Invitational Saturday at The Webb School.
In the high-school portion of the meet, the Franklin County Rebels and Rebelettes combined for four top-10 finishes and seven top-15 finishes for the day.
Owen Stewart had the top time of the day for the Rebels as he finished seventh in the boys race with a mark of 19:27.
Daniel Heath and Braden Collins also cracked the top 10 as they finished ninth and 10th, respectively, with times of 19:38 and 19:40.
Loui Arellano, Josiah Cruz and Cristian Fravel completed the course in close proximity to each other with times of 20:42.23, 20:42.66 and 20:47, respectively to finish 22nd, 23rd and 24th.
The remaining runners for the Rebels and their times and placements for the day were Brandon Woodall, 55th, 23:55; Christian Ferrall, 63rd, 24:49; Kane Hawkersmith, 65th, 25:09; and Landon Allbert, 71st, 29:37.
Ruby Webb was the first Rebelette across the finish line as she placed seventh in the girls race with a time of 23:25.
Catherine Money was the next Franklin County runner to finish the race as she took 11th place with a mark of 23:39.
Sophrina Roberts and Billie Rose Johnson also ran their way into the top 15 in 14th and 15th place, respectively, with times of 24:57 and 25:08.
The Rebelettes also had two more runners crack the top 25 with Caitlyn Cashion finishing 18th with a time of 25:24 and Zulema Martinez placing 21st with a mark of 25:32.
The remaining runners for the Rebelettes and their times and placements for the day were Sydney Webb, 33rd, 28:47; Lily Heath, 35th, 29:11; Harley Burris, 37th, 29:27; and Addy Hannaway, 38th, 30:06.
The South Trojans and Lady Trojans combined for seven top-50 finishes in a crowded field for the middle-school portion of the meet.
The WCA Lions and Lady Lions added in a total of five top-50 finishes for the day.
The Lady Lions were led by Ellie Price in 11th place with a time of 15:13.
Sadie Wells completed the course with a time of 16:54 to take 24th place for the meet.
Elise Horton finished 38th with a mark of 18:03, and Aribella Mitchell rounded out the top-50 performances for WCA in 50th place with a time of 19:30.
The remaining runners for the Lady Lions and their times and placements for the meet were Julianna Shetters, 69th, 21:18; Alex Wiley, 73rd, 22:36; and Audrey Glenn, 74th, 22:46.
Payton Dearing had the top time for the Lady Trojans as she finished in 22nd place for the girls race with a mark of 16:30.
Zoe Cole followed closely behind in 25th place with a time of 16:55.
Madyson Dutz and Jada Hand crossed the finish line together in 45th and 46th place, respectively, with times of 18:44 and 18:45.
The remaining runners for the Lady Trojans and their times and placements for the day were Jena Hand, 56th, 19:49; Emmelia Leffler-Mitchell, 76th, 23:06; Abby Majors, 78th, 23:24; Priscilla Owens, 79th, 23:43; and Rivers Kelleher, 85th, 29:48.
Colton Cox made it into the top 10 for the Lions as he finished sixth overall with a time of 12:58.
The next Lions to cross the finish line were Jack Price and Rylan Parvin in 58th and 60th place, respectively, with times of 16:15 and 16:30.
Lane Blevins finished in 70th place for the Lions with a mark of 16:58, and Levi Karl placed 103rd with a time of 19:51.
Jasper Henley took the top spot in the boys race for the Trojans as he finished 35th with a time of 14:53.
J. Taylor Sessions finished in 48th place with a time of 15:40, and Spencer Garner made it into the top 50 as he placed 50th with a mark of 15:44.
The remaining runners for the Trojans and their times and placements for the day were Ethan Short, 86th, 17:48; William Money, 88th, 17:59; Case Franklin, 105th, 19:52; Lucas Stephens, 106th, 19:53; Eli Kelleher, 111th, 20:31; AJ Long, 112th, 20:34; David Saylor, 117th, 20:55; Daniel Owens, 121st, 22:38; and Max Leffler-Mitchell, 122nd, 22:44.
The FCHS cross country Rebels and Rebelettes will next compete on Sept. 10 in the Voyles Classic at The Hermitage. The meet is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
