CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Imari Berry has been named to the McDonald’s All-American team, according to an announcement on Tuesday. She joins Bashaara Graves and Alex Poythress as the only Clarksville athletes to ever be selected.

Berry is ranked 13th in the ESPNW class of 2024 rankings. Her Clarksville Wildcats sit at a perfect 18-0 record, and she’s averaging well over 20 points a game. In her career, Berry is a two-time district champion and MVP, Region Champion and MVP, and scored 2,000 points before the halfway mark in her senior season. She also is a two-time Miss Basketball finalist in the state of Tennessee.

When asked what this accomplishment meant to her, Berry was business as usual. For her, this is a symbol of how much work she has put into this sport.

“If you do not believe in yourself, no one will do it for you,” Berry told Clarksville Now. “The biggest dreams aren’t fueled by relief, they are fueled by doubt.”

The 2024 McDonald’s All-American game will be played in Houston, Texas, at the Toyota Center on April 2. Berry and the rest of the girls team will tip off at 5:30 p.m.
