Ohio State commitment Jaloni Cambridge named McDonald's All-American

Ohio State women's basketball commitment Jaloni Cambridge is among the 24 players selected to participate in the McDonald's All-American game April 2 at the Toyota Center in Houston.

She will play for the West squad.

Cambridge, a 5-foot-6 guard, is ranked by ESPN as the No. 3 overall 2024 recruit. She averaged 26.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 3.8 assists for DII-AA state runner-up Ensworth last season, scoring 41 points in the state title game. She led the Lady Tigers to the state title in 2022.

Cambridge transferred in the offseason to Montverde Academy (Florida). Cambridge is averaging a team-high 20.9 points and 8.6 assists for Montverde this season, to go with 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 1.2 blocks.

The Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year in 2023, Cambridge also won DII-AA Miss Basketball honors three times. She was named one of 10 semifinalists for the Naismith Girls Basketball National Player of the Year and was the 2022 MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year.

The 2024 McDonald's All American girls game will air on ESPN2 at 5:30 p.m. on April 2 with the boys game following at 8 p.m.
