1. Roll Call
2. Approved Minutes of Last Meeting
3. Voted to authorize the Executive Director to select sites and make plans for conducting regional and state tournaments or meets in golf, cross country, volleyball, wrestling, and bowling.
4. Approved Financial Report of Baseball
5. Approved Financial Report of Softball
6. Approved Financial Report of Soccer
7. Approved Financial Report of Track and Field
8. Approved Financial Report of Tennis
9. Approved the Financial Report of Spring Fling
10. Approved the Revised Budget for the 2009-2010 School Year
11. Approved the list of Cooperative Programs that were approved by the state office during the 2008-2009 School Year

13. Heard Report on the Student Services/The Right Team
14. Heard Update on Athletic District/Regional Coordinators Meeting
15. Voted to approve to continue paying the first year’s membership fee to the National Federation Coaches Association ($30.00) for state winners. This has been done in the past and results in 18 coaches at $30.00 per coach.
16. Heard Report on Officials’ Basketball Camps
17. Approved the Financial Aid Report for the 2009-2010 School Year
18. Heard Update on Regional Basketball Sites for the 2009-2010 School Year
19. Voted to charge schools a fee of $75 per team for each golf program (girls/boys) effective with the 2009-10 school year. Schools have been charged $75 total, regardless if they had one or both of the programs. This is to help offset rising costs incurred at the state golf tournament.
20. Heard update on Golf, Football, Volleyball, and Cheer and Dance Championships. The 2009 State Volleyball Tournament will be held at Murphy Center on the campus of MTSU and at Blackman High School. The 2009 Cheer and Dance Championships will be held at Murphy Center on the MTSU campus on Saturday, December 5.

26. TSSAA Board of Control votes to select Murfreesboro as the host city for the BlueCross Spring Fling for the years 2010-2012.
27. Approved Proposed Schedule for the 2009 BlueCross Bowl Championship Football Games.

28. Voted to use the following option to determine how shares will be divided amongst schools for the 2009 BlueCross Bowl:
• Allow participating schools to pre-sale tickets.
• Schools that pre-sale tickets will be given tickets at meeting on Monday.
• Must bring remaining tickets and a check for the ones they sold to will call day of game.
• Split one-half equally to the 16 schools, and one-half will be divided based on the ticket pre-sales of each school.
29. Heard Technology Update
30. Approved the TSSAA/Baptist Sports Medicine Initiative.
We are very excited to announce that TSSAA/Baptist Sports Medicine will be kicking off a sports medicine initiative beginning with the 2009-2010 school year. A Sports Medicine Advisory Committee consisting of medical professionals throughout the state of Tennessee is being formed. One of their primary objectives will be to advise administrators, coaches, parents, and student-athletes on critical issues related to participation in athletics. A website has been developed that will serve as an informational site. The website address is: www.tnsmac.com.
31. Took no action regarding a potential partnership with LRG (Licensing Resource Group).
32. Appeal of Hillwood High School Concerning Cooperative Wrestling Program
33. Denied Appeal of Clarkrange High School Concerning Seating Requirement Violation in Basketball
34. Denied Appeal of Oliver Springs High School Concerning Basketball Seating Requirement Violation
35. The NFHS Softball Rules Committee has changed the pitching distance from 40 feet to 43 feet beginning with the 2010-2011 school year. By state adoption, the distance can be changed to 43 feet beginning with the 2009-2010 school year.
The Board of Control voted to adopt the pitching distance in softball to be changed to 43 feet beginning with the 2009-2010 school year.
