The top four teams got plaques as did the winning team for their school and the big fish winner. All plaques were sponsored by Sonya and Larry Summers and Double D Trophies in Jasper. Everyone who didn’t place received tackle packs from the GCHS Bass Boosters and Castle’s Outdoors in Whitwell. The top five teams received larger tackle packs based on their order of finish from the GCHS Bass Boosters and Castle’s Outdoors. The big fish winner received a rod and reel from Lew’s and the GCHS Bass Boosters. There was also another Lew’s rod and reel given as a door prize as well as Lew’s hats, tackle packs and tournament weigh bags.

Some of the GCHS teams were assisted by members of the Grundy County Bass Club. Jeff Hill and Brad Green provided their boats and their time to take three of the Grundy teams out on the water. Bubba Ingleburger of the NBT Bass TN district and of Builder’s Supply also took out one of the Grundy teams. The GCHS Bass Boosters want to extend their thanks to those gentlemen for their support.

The teams have several more chances to compete before the State Championship June 1, on Nickajack. Both White County and Silverdale Baptist are hosting tournaments on the lake before the championship.
The GCHS Bass Boosters would like to invite everyone to get behind the GCHS bass team and support them in this exciting new sport at Grundy County High School. Join the GCHS Bass Boosters today!
