McCallie rallied from down three goals in the first quarter to defeat host Baylor, 10-6, Wednesday in high school lacrosse Wednesday.
Braden Davis had five goals for McCallie (9-4) along with Paul Silverblatt and Tyler Wilks who had two apiece and Sam Viscomi found the back of the Baylor net on one occasion.
"Baylor jumped out to a quick lead in the first quarter and played a fundamentally sound zone defense throughout the match, yet our team patience and depth proved to be the difference," said McCallie coach Troy Kemp.
Baylor was led by goalie Conner Sims with four saves, Peyton Heard had a goal and an assist as did Walker Norris.
"We made them play 48 minutes, we have the best group of skill players in the last eight years and we are bigger and faster than past Baylor teams with players who have a high lacrosse I.Q.", said Baylor coach Jon Bloom.
Baylor (10-4) led 4-2 after one and the game was tied 5 all at intermission. The visiting Blue Tornado scored three goals in the third and an additional two in the fourth.
