3 offensive stars in Father Ryan’s 28-20 win over BGA on Friday:

1. Jack Shoulders, Father Ryan, slot: The senior rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries. Most of his yards came on a 47-yard TD run in the first quarter and a 67-yard TD run in the second quarter. He broke several tackles on the second one. Shoulders also caught two passes for nine yards.

2. Clay Beathard, BGA, quarterback: The junior completed 15-f-29 passes for 169 yards and one TD. After a slow start, he led a Wildcat comeback that fell just short. Beathard rushed for 48 yards on 14 carries. His older brother, C.J., is a quarterback at Iowa.

3. Cameron Towns, Father Ryan, quarterback: The 6-foot-4 senior completed 15-of-24 for 130 yards and one TD. He rushed for 23 yards on 10 carries. Towns led the Fighting Irish to a quick start and they held on for the win.

Winning TD: Bryce Vickers’ 66-yard punt return for a TD gave Father Ryan a 28-7 lead early in the third quarter and proved to be the winning score.

Seal the deal: Irish cornerback JoeJuan Williams, who has seven SEC offers, intercepted Beathard’s pass at the BGA 35-yard line with 1:54 left, clinching the win.
