Volleyball roundup: Riverdale defeats Smyrna in 5

Samanatha James tallied 15 kills to help lead Riverdale to a 3-2 win over Smyrna on Tuesday night.

Chreslyn Serama had eight kills and three blocks. Cynthia Christie added seven kills and two aces in the 25-20, 21-25, 25-19, 16-25, 15-7 win.

Chyanne Ehlebracht had five kills. Rachel Clement added four kills, 15 digs, 37 assists and four aces.

Sarah Jones recorded 24 digs. Alana Flint and Mary Tod Newberry had 13 digs apiece. Brooke McClure and James each had nine digs.

Blackman 3, La Vergne 0: Danielle Ged led the Lady Blaze (24-6, 9-2 in 7-AAA) with 18 kills, three blocks and three aces in the 25-9, 25-10, 25-13 win.

Tristyn Lozano had five kills and an ace. Becca Kirk had five kills and three aces. Jess Oliver had 32 assists, four aces and three kills. And Angela Boudavong had eight digs and three assists.

MTCS 3, Columbia Acad. 0: McKenzie McKnight led MTCS with 10 kills, 24 digs and four aces to lead the Lady Cougars to a 30-28, 25-21, 25-22 win over Columbia Academy.

Morgan Mason had nine kills and 23 digs to lead the Lady Cougars (27-6).

Teammate Emma Self had eight kills and 19 digs in a sweep of Columbia Academy. Mackenzie Harris recorded seven kills and 15 digs. Megan Mason added six kills and 22 digs.

Rachel Mullen had 33 assists and 16 digs.

MTCS 3, La Vergne 0: MacKenzie Harris had a team-high nine aces with three kills and four digs to lead the Lady Cougars to a 25-16, 25-17, 25-22 win Monday night.

Morgan Mason had nine kills and nine digs. Emma Self added seven kills and two blocks. McKenzie McKnight had 14 digs, three aces and two blocks.

Rachel Mullen added 19 assists, 12 digs and two aces.

Livingston Academy 3, Central Magnet 0: Mickayla Russell had 13 kills and four blocks. Mary Catherine Smith had six kills and 11 assists. Central Magnet is now 5-4 in District 8-AA and plays Upperman on Thursday in its district final.
