Soccer roundup: Central Magnet completes perfect district record

Central Magnet wrapped up the District 8-A/AA regular-season championship on Tuesday night with a 3-0 win over Merrol Hyde.

Madison Shea had two goals and has 21 goals and 11 assists for the season.

Emmy Center had a goal and an assist. And Liz Tank tallied an assist.

Abby Coleman had six saves for the Lady Tigers (15-0, 8-0, 8 A/AA)

Siegel 4, Riverdale 0: Janie Hopper had two goals and Emma Adcock scored a goal and had an assist. Sarah Williams also tallied an assist.

Blackman 6, La Vergne 0: Megan Woods scored on a hat trick. Colleen Kennedy and Kenzie Vetter also scored.

Kennedy and Mary Grace Smith each had assists.

Stewarts Creek 8, Page 1: Katie Bain led the Red Hawks (9-6) with two goals and two assists, and Marianna Ford also scored twice.

Paige Loveless, Emma DiDomenico, Kayla Head and Tayler Crutcher each added a goal apiece.

Kaitlyn Watson had two assists. Cricket McClain and Haley Head notched an assist apiece.

Stewarts Creek plays at Smyrna at 5 p.m. Thursday.
