Girls roundup: Riverdale reaches final in Myrtle Beach

Four different players finished in double figures to lead Riverdale to a 55-33 rout of Archbishop John Carroll in a semifinal game in the CresCom Bank Holiday Invitational at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Freshmen Brinae Alexander and Alexis Whittington scored 13 and 12 points respectively to lead Riverdale (12-1). Anastasia Hayes added 11 points. And Caroline Patrick had 10 points and nine rebounds.

Riverdale faces defending tournament champion Miami Senior at 1:15 p.m. Monday.

Gallatin Classic

Westmoreland 48, Siegel 22: Correna Ellis led Siegel with 10 points. Rachel Tracy added five points.

Mt. Juliet Chick-fil-A Classic

Stewarts Creek 53, Mt. Juliet 48: Stewarts Creek placed three players in double figures and the Lady Hawks upset host Mt. Juliet. Jasmine Neal led Stewarts Creek with 14 points. Sydney Floyd added 12. And Brandi Ferby tallied 10.

Twin sisters Ronjanae DeGray and Rae DeGray paced Mt. Juliet. The Arkansas-Little Rock signees scored 16 and 13 points respectively.

Rhea Co. Christmas Tournament

Cannon Co. 74, Red Bank 40: Kelli Davis paced the Lionettes with 24 points in the third-place game in Rhea County. Kendra Maynard tallied 12 points and Kristen Hale had 11.
