Chattanooga Christian and Signal Mountain exchanged the lead
seven times on Tuesday, but the Chargers ended up on
top with a 4-3 win in seven innings.
CCS took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for
the victory. The Chargers scored on an RBI single by Justin Wheeler off Jackson Etter, bringing home Tucker Elsea.
The top of the first saw Signal Mountain take an early lead, 1-0.
After
posting one run in the third, Signal Mountain again scored one in the
fifth. In the third, Signal Mountain scored on a sacrifice fly by Walter Gailmard, scoring Etter.
CCS answered Signal Mountain with two runs
of its own in the third.
Mac Cochran had two of the five CCS hits.
Leadoff hitter Jake Carmichael scored twice for the Eagles.
Each team had two errors.
CCS, which won 7-3 on Monday, improves to 11-2 on the season.
