» Why chosen: Took the state championship in the 138-pound division with a 7-4 decision win over Ravenwood’s Tailor Stolle in the first year girls wrestling was a TSSAA-sanctioned event. Was named the tournament’s Best Wrestler, finishing the season with a 28-2 record.

» College plans: Somewhere with a good architecture program. Would like to keep wrestling.

» Quote: “I think most of the referees remembered me because my matches didn’t last very long. My goal was to win, but in the process of winning, depending on the other person’s effort, they were usually pretty short.”

» Family: Parents, Tina Jones and Gregory Elery; sisters, Tatjana (18), Edison (4) and Emerson (3 months)

» Athletic background: “I have wrestled for two years, and this will be my first year on the track team.”

» How did you spend spring break? “I spent spring break at wrestling practice and hanging out with friends.”

» Best high school sports moment: “Me returning to Franklin, Tenn., and winning my first championship.”

» Favorite team and favorite athlete: “Team is the Seahawks, and athlete is Marshawn Lynch.”
