Stats to know: Dangerfield averaged 15.5 points and area-best 5.6 assists this season. She added 4.6 rebounds and 2.5 steals for the Lady Blaze, who won their second straight state title. She was the state tournament MVP for the second straight year. And she was named to the all-state team

Why chosen: Dangerfield, a two-time Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year, was the catalyst for the nationally ranked Lady Blaze. She was named the District 7-AAA MVP and TSSAA's Class AAA Miss Basketball this season.

Shelby Gibson

Stats to know: Gibson averaged 14.8 points and 7.4 rebounds this past season for the Lady Patriots in a season where the offense ran through her. She shot 60.6 percent from the field and 67.5 percent from the free-throw line. She was named to the all-state team and the all-tournament team at state.

Why chosen: The third-year starter gave opponents problems in the paint all season with her ability to rebound as well as her ability to score off the low block.

Anastasia Hayes

Stats to know: Hayes averaged 18.9 points and 3.6 assists a game this season. She also had 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 steals. She was named to the all-state team.

Why chosen: The first-year Riverdale starter has a lightning-quick first step that allowed her to drive to the basket with regularity this season. She was the spark plug for a Lady Warrior team ranked in the Associated Press' top-10 poll all season.

Stats to know: Jackson averaged 9.3 points and 5.3 points this past season. She also dished out 4.3 assists and had 1.5 steals a game.

Why chosen: The two-year Lady Blaze starter increased her offense to 11.9 points a game in the postseason. Her defense and on-court presence was key in the season and in postseason.

Stats to know: Johnson, a Miss Basketball finalist, average 14.6 points and 8.4 rebounds this past season. She also averaged 1.3 assists. She was an all-state member and named to the TSSAA all-tournament team at state.

Why chosen: The four-year Lady Blaze starter was a dominant presence inside since her arrival at Blackman.
