Dylan King named to All-USA Tennessee second team

MURFREESBORO – Former Riverdale baseball standout Dylan King was named Wednesday to the 2014-15 All-USA Tennessee Baseball Second Team.

King, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound right-handed pitcher, was the District 7-AAA Pitcher of the Year as well as The Daily News Journal's Pitcher of the year this past season.

King, a Belmont signee, went 7-1 on the mound with a 1.49 ERA. He had seven complete games and four shutouts. King struck out 80 batters and walked just four all season.

Opposing teams hit just .163 off King.

King was drafted in the 25th round by the New York Mets.

Former Clarksville ace Donny Everett, a Vanderbilt signee, was named the All-USA Tennessee Baseball Player of the Year. He was also the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the year.

Hardin Valley's Joe Michalski was named the Coach of the Year after leading his team to the TSSAA Class AAA state championship.
