Prep Tennis: Lady Commandos edge Siegel

HENDERSONVILLE The Hendersonville High girls tennis team collected a 5-4 victory over visiting Siegel on Wednesday afternoon at the Memorial Park tennis courts.

The Lady Commandos improved to 10-4 overall with the victory, winning each of the top three seeded matches in addition to two doubles contests. Senior Rae Gullett – who defeated Mt. Juliet’s top-seeded player, Raquel Holder, on Tuesday – collected a straight-set victory over Lexie Greene.

The Commandos (5-8) suffered a 6-3 loss to the Stars, with senior Kato Richardson and freshman Tristen Denton collecting the only singles victories for Hendersonville.

Blue Devils defeat Hume-Fogg

WHITE HOUSE The White House High boys tennis team defeated visiting Hume-Fogg 5-2 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Blue Devils (10-1) won three singles matches and both doubles contests en route to the victory.

PJP II squads swept by Sycamore

HENDERSONVILLE The Pope John Paul II High tennis teams suffered losses to visiting Sycamore on Wednesday afternoon.

The Knights won two singles matches and two doubles contests but suffered a 5-4 loss.

The PJP II girls suffered a 7-2 loss to Sycamore.
