Notre Dame Soccer Comeback Falls Short In Class A/AA Soccer

The Notre Dame boys soccer team fell behind by three goals Tuesday afternoon in the Class A/AA state soccer quarterfinals in Murfreesboro.  The Irish battled back in the second half but fell 4-3, ending their season to CAK.  

CAK scored three goals in the first 23 minutes.  CAK's Daniel Martin, Jon Creel and Matt Zacyzk scored unassisted goals, giving CAK a 3-0 lead.  

Notre Dame's Michael Quatrano would score two early second half goals to cut the lead to one.  

Quatrano scored in the first minute of the second half and in the 52 minute of the game.

The game ended with a 3-2 CAK win.  

CAK out shot Notre Dame 16-7. 

Notre Dame keeper James Teal recorded four saves.  CAK advances to the Class A/AA semifinals to be played on Wednesday.
