NEWPORT—Just three weeks shy of the 2016 season kickoff, Cocke County High School will hit the field Friday night at Larry Williams Stadium for its first preseason action of the season.

Taking on the theme of Monday’s season opening practice session, the Fighting Cocks are looking to make a physical presence known when Grainger High School rolls into Newport on Friday night.
