East Ridge, GPS, Baylor Earn Soccer Wins

EAST RIDGE 3 RED BANK 2  The East Ridge girls soccer team earned a key District 6A/AA win on Tuesday 3-2 over Red Bank.  East Ridge led 2-1 at the half.  East Ridge goals were scored by Serena Smith, Emily Spiers and Naida Xiloj Hernandez.  Truely Cervanak and Kiki Evers scored the Red Bank goals.  East Ridge improves to 1-1 over all and 1-0 in the district. 

GPS 4 CCS 1 - GPS took a 3-1 led the half and scored another goal in the second half to earn a 4-1 win over visiting CCS on Tuesday.  GPS goals were scored by Lane Lawrence, Emily Large, Kylie Eiselstein and Ashley Grant.  Lane Lawrence and Jai-la Hansford had assists.   CCS's first half goal was scored by Addie Henry.  Avery Campbell had three saves for GPS and Meg Eslinger had nine for CCS.  GPS is 4-0 on the season and CCS is 0-5. 

BAYLOR 3 COOKEVILLE 0 Baylor's Loni Lustig and Cambell Green had first half goals for the Red Raiders in their 3-0 win over Cookeville.  Lainee Bohannon had a second half goal for Baylor.  Baylor's Peyton Randolph and Shannon Urey combined for six saves. Cookeville's Olivia Campbell had five saves.   Baylor is 1-0 and Cookeville falls to 0-4-1.
