The Grace Academy Lady Golden Eagles didn't waste much time taking a 3-0 victory from CSAS on Tuesday evening at CSAS, Grace winning the District 5-A match by scores of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-20.
Alexandra Smith had 13 kills and eight digs for the winners while Summer Dean finished with 18 assists. Maggie Long contributed 19 digs while Autumn Parrott had four aces to go along with five kills.
In other high school matches on Tuesday, Sale Creek improved to 10-1 with a 3-0 win at home against East Ridge while Hixson evened its overall record at 4-4 and 2-0 in District 6-AA with a 3-0 win over visiting Howard.
Ariana Smith and Gracie Janow both had eight kills to lead Sale Creek while Bailey Nelson had 19 assists and Morgan Weatherford 16 digs. Set scores for Sale Creek were 25-13, 25-20 and 25-13.
Dakota Rawiszer had nine aces, seven kills and three digs as Hixson rolled past Howard by scores of 25-6, 25-11 and 25-11.
Sam Dove and Gabby Tench both had eight assists while Samantha McKee finished the day with seven digs.
