Ravenwood's Karlie Paschall named preseason All-American

Ravenwood senior Karlie Paschall has been selected to the 2016 American Family Insurance All-USA Preseason Girls Soccer Team.

Paschall, a Duke commitment and three-time Tennessean All-Midstate selection, has scored 69 goals in her career at Ravenwood, and the U.S. Soccer Under-17 Women's National Team representative is the fourth-ranked prospect in the Class of 2017 according to TopDrawerSoccer.com.

Paschall registered 10 goals and five assists in an injury-shortened junior season. As a sophomore, however, she garnered Gatorade Tennessee Player of the Year honors, tallying 42 goals and 19 assists to help lead the Lady Raptors to a Class AAA semifinal appearance.

Ravenwood (1-0-1), which reached the District 11-AAA semifinals a season ago, opens district play Tuesday at  Dickson County.
