Small schools consist of teams from Class 1A, Class 2A, Class 3A and Division II-A.
1. Stratford (3-0) — Senior running back T.J. Carter’s third touchdown — a 3-yard reception — in the final seconds gave the Spartans a one-point victory at East Nashville. Last week: 1. This week: Friday vs. Ezell-Harding.
2. Christ Presbyterian Academy (1-2) — The Lions bounced back from back-to-back losses in a big way, erupting for 522 total yards in Friday’s 35-13 win at White House Heritage. Last week: 2. This week: Friday at Pearl-Cohn.
3. Watertown (3-0) — The Purple Tigers have outscored their three opponents by a combined 151-46. Last week: 3. This week: Friday vs. Grundy County.
4. Nashville Christian (2-1) — The Eagles bounced back from their one-point loss to White House Heritage with Friday’s 55-7 rout of Monterey. Last week: 5. This week: Friday vs. Pickett County.
5. Fairview (3-0) — Sophomore Kam Harris-Lusk passed for 272 yards and two touchdowns as the Yellow Jackets rolled past Stewart County last Friday. Last week: 6. This week: Friday vs. Waverly.
6. East Nashville (1-2) — The Eagles limited Stratford to 163 total yards and led most of the way before falling on a last-second touchdown. Last week: 7. This week: Friday vs. Marshall County.
7. White House Heritage (2-1) — The Patriots couldn’t slow the Christ Presbyterian Academy offense in their first loss last Friday. Last week: 4. This week: Thursday vs. Portland.
8. Waverly (3-0) — The Tigers enter Friday’s clash with fellow unbeaten Fairview having outscored their last two opponents by a combined 87-14. Last week: 8. This week: Friday at Fairview.
9. Wayne County (3-0) — The Wildcats are averaging 51.3 points per game, producing 542 total yards as senior quarterback Preston Rice accounted for 380 total yards and five touchdowns last Friday. Last week: 9. This week: Friday at Decatur County-Riverside.
10. Donelson Christian Academy (3-0) — Senior Jayden Walker posted 375 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns in last Friday’s 14-point win over FRA. Last week: Unranked. This week: Friday vs. Lancaster Christian.
