Hayes is ranked sixth in the class by ProspectsNation.com and ninth by ESPN HoopGurlz.

Hayes averaged 20.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists this past season in leading Riverdale to the Class AAA state title.

She chose the Lady Vols over Florida, Kentucky, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Texas A&M.

Commitments are nonbinding for the athlete and the school. Hayes cannot sign until Nov. 9. She joins two other Murfreesboro players — Riverdale alum Alexa Middleton, a junior guard, and Blackman alum Meme Jackson, a sophomore guard.
